Shortly after Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina opened, we produced a visually stunning 90-page brochure to highlight the luxury resort's 2017 Festive offerings.
Our Festive brochure earned a Koa Hammer Award from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) - Hawaii Chapter for best brochures: 10 pages or more.
Additionally, we redesigned the resort's wedding brochure and rebranded the resort’s luxury spa amenities. Creative services included branding, copywriting, editing, and graphic design.
In summer 2016, we announced the debut of Maui's newest activity company, Hawaii Mermaid Adventures, where dreamers of all ages could transform into a real-life mermaid for a day and also learn about important eco-tourism and conservation issues.
We earned media coverage in Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, KRON4, Toronto Star, Travel Weekly, TravelAge West, Maui News, Maui Now, and many other outlets.
Tracing the origins of a favorite Hawaii dish to its roots around the world, Family Ingredients is a joyful ode to farmers, food producers and families. Season One of the culinary travel TV series, hosted by chef Ed Kenney, aired on PBS stations nationwide in fall 2016.
To help ensure a successful launch, we worked closely with the production team on publicity and messaging, including content development for the press kit, website and newsletters.
Media coverage was secured in every local publication in Hawaii, as well as Open Table, San Francisco Chronicle, 7x7, and WGN Chicago.
We worked with Native Hawaiian fashion designer Manaola Yap on his memorable first journey to New York Fashion Week in September 2017. Our work for MANAOLA included months of strategic planning, brand and content development, sponsorships, promotions, event planning, travel coordination, and local and national media relations.
In addition to a weeklong live remote in New York City with Hawaii News Now, we coordinated a media blitz and secured more than 200 VIP, media, and social influencer guests to attend the runway show. We generated publicity for MANAOLA in virtually every local media outlet, including Honolulu Star-Advertiser, HONOLULU Magazine, Pacific Business News, PBS Hawaii, KHON, KITV, as well as national outlets like Travel+Leisure, Forbes, and Fashion Week Online. Social media was abuzz with excitement for MANAOLA and in-store and online sales increased immediately.
In summer 2016, Mud Hen Water tapped Rebecca Pang & Co. to help publicize its new brunch. We worked closely with the restaurant to execute a casual-cool media event and secured coverage in Sunset Magazine, Honolulu Star-Advertiser, Frolic Hawaii, Edible Hawaiian Islands, and more.
Ocean Aid Hawaii, a benefit arts and music festival, debuted at Honolulu's Waikiki Shell in April 2017 with the goal of eradicating plastic pollution from the ocean.
The outdoor festival with the motto “Love The Sea, Plastic Free” featured world-famous musicians Cee Lo Green, Bootsy Collins, Maxi Priest, Ohio Players, Henry Kapono, Fishbone, and Hawaii musicians Ron Artis II, Makana, Taimane, Ekolu Kalama, notable environmentalists, comedians, nonprofit coalition partners, and local food trucks.
We led PR and advertising efforts, generating pre-publicity and promotions for the concert and the cause.
Less than a week before the show, an anonymous sponsor bought out the concert to make it free and open for the community, setting off more media buzz and a massive pivot in operations, sales, and marketing.
We assisted with event production and handled media and VIPs during Ocean Aid, which included a live two-hour TV special on KFVE. The client was extremely happy with all resulting media coverage.
The Clarence T.C. Ching Foundation's 7th annual “Inspired in Hawaii” contest honored 99 students from grades K-12, and their teachers, with award certificates and $20,000 in cash prizes.
We coordinated the judging and awards ceremony for the “Inspired in Hawaii” contest. The ceremony recognized the top student videos, essays, posters, and digital posters from 1,400 entries across the state that depicted how to dream big and make Hawaii a better place.
We were tasked with generating media coverage for Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows, the storied resort on Hawaii's Kohala Coast. In addition to proactive media pitches, we initiated multiple press trips to the resort and secured partnerships with Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, and the Island of Hawaii Visitors Bureau.
We secured coverage for the resort in Hana Hou!, Expedia Viewfinder, San Francisco Chronicle, 7x7, Paste Magazine, Orange Coast, Honolulu Star-Advertiser, and more.
In January 2017, after less than nine months, the Surfrider Foundation and its coalition of partners certified more than 100 Ocean Friendly Restaurants in Hawaii. This statewide program recognizes restaurants leading the way in environmental protection by operating without foam and plastic.
We generated awareness of the program and its participating restaurants in print, broadcast, and online media including AFAR, Honolulu Star-Advertiser, Midweek, Frolic Hawaii, Hawaii News Now, KHON, Tasting Kauai, Maui News, Maui Now, and AAA Hawaii.
